Paul Hamlyn Foundation funded project begins!

LOV has a new project – all about getting the young people (aged 12 – 25) of Lincolnshire involved in their local arts venues.

We want to develop a series of exciting opportunities across the ten LOV venues for young people to take control, learn new skills and see exciting new artists, makers and performers in their County.

A new Project Manager, Chloe Brown has been appointed to run the project, which is funded through the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. She is currently in her second week in the post, touring the County and getting to know the ten venues that make up LOV a bit better so that she can design a fantastic programme for and with the young people of Lincolnshire and foster some ‘Young LOV’. From Louth to Lincoln; Spalding to Stamford and those in between, Chloe has clocked up a few miles travelling up, down and across the County over the past couple of weeks – she has found out about some exciting things that are already taking place for young people (see our Take Control and Have Your Say section) and some events, exhibitions and performances that she will definitely be going along to see herself!

All the venues have really interesting things going on and the staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful so have a look at What’s On at the LOV venues yourself.

Chloe won’t be alone in her quest as, as well as the venue staff she will be working closely with two Project Workers who will be starting at the end of April.

As well as talking to the venue staff the project team also need information and input from you! If you’re a young person in Lincolnshire (aged 12 – 25) or if you work with young people in the County and have any suggestions or want to get involved in activities and events in your local LOV venue then please get in touch via email at lincolnshireonevenues@gmail.com or the comments section below.

Chloe will be posting updates on the project as it progresses so make sure you come back soon or sign up for our updates.
