Edinburgh Festival Fringe Trip 2017

*This opportunity has now closed*

We are taking 6 young people to Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August (2017) and you could be one of them!

What is Festival Fringe?

Festival Fringe is the biggest arts festival on earth and it is programmed for 3 weeks every August. The festival is based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and this year it's even more special as it is the 70th year it has been executed.

'Every year thousands of performers take to hundreds of stages all over Edinburgh to present shows for every taste. From big names in the world of entertainment to unknown artists looking to build their careers, the festival caters for everyone and includes theatre, comedy, dance, physical theatre, circus, cabaret, children's shows, musicals, opera, music, spoken word, exhibitions and events.'

Why is LOVYPP going?

'With 50,266 performances of 3,269 shows in 294 venues in 2016 there are quite literally thousands of reasons to visit the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.'

The main reason for our trip is to bring back some of the amazing work we see at the Fringe to the county of Lincolnshire, which is where our young people (18-25) come in! We want 6 young people to join us as programmers on behalf of Lincolnshire One Venues. You will spend four days at the festival experiencing lots of shows in the hope that some of them can be programmed at one (if not more) of our 10 venues (2 visual and 8 performing arts).

Is it for you?

If you are aged 18-25 and have been part of our programme; want to gain experience and insight of being a creative director, programmer and promoter; see a range of performance and theatre from all over the world and have a real say in what performances come to Lincolnshire in the future, then this opportunity is for you!
