Paid opportunity for musicians - Opera-Led Dementia Project with Magna Vitae

Magna Vitae in partnership with Garsington Opera for All for All and Lincolnshire Music Service are seeking two support musicians.

The project is aiming to provide the opportunity for one care home, their patients and staff to experience an alternative method of engaging those who are living with dementia through creative music and story-telling and evaluate the positive effects it can have.

They require the support of two musicians to work partnership with Project Planning Team by engaging in preparation meetings and delivery of sessions within the care home setting.

Ideally, you must be;

 classically trained, but also comfortable playing in other styles

 relaxed and friendly, happy to chat with people with dementia

 open to learning

 ideally experienced in improvising / devising new music

Fee

Supporting musicians will be paid a planning / evaluation fee of £100 per day and a delivery fee of £150 per session. There are two planning / evaluation days and six delivery sessions planned for the project. Expenses will also be available to reimburse the musicians recruited.
