Community Mentor required - paid post
Lincolnshire One Venues has been successful in a bid for funding, to work with individuals and groups across Lincolnshire to put on memorable community arts events.
These arts pop-ups will inspire and re-invigorate communities through creative activity, whilst providing welcome employment for local freelancers, artists and makers.
The responses from community groups are broad and involve a number of differing art forms. Common to all of them is a desire to connect to their communities and to share work in very public settings. Eight projects have been selected.
We are seeking to engage a freelance Mentor to support the groups as they develop their events. The Mentor will:
- Provide practical advice to the groups, helping them to deliver on their ambitions. Some of the groups will need more support than others as their experience is varied.
- Assist with any paperwork, including risk assessments, license applications if necessary, venue hire agreements etc.
- Inspire the groups to be confident and ambitious.
- Develop and support a programme of workshops around event production and management, delivered in partnership with Lincolnshire One Venues, based on the needs of the successful community groups.
- Have a good overview of the work that is being created, reporting back to a working group made up of the Lincolnshire One Venues Project Manager and representatives of the venues involved.
- Flag up any potential issues as they happen and work to solve problems.
