Spotlight on our Connected Creatives Bursary recipients!

Maisie 2 (1)

Maisie Shiplee

I am an emerging artist and maker, with my recent summer months being spent on devising and creating immersive theatrical experiences for Lost Village Festival in Lincolnshire.

The ambition driving my creative work is to have that ‘invisible’ impact on an audience; especially via content that is rooted in emotive and relevant topics, to encourage the ever so subtle notion of individual reflection and evolution.

I am incredibly grateful to be a part of LOV’s Connected Creatives as it will give the opportunity to work with new tools, gain knowledge, and explore the many fascinating dimensions of prop-making. The bursary will also support the uncovering of pathways into puppetry, wearable art, and be a valuable launchpad into an exhilarating portfolio career!

Nurturing LOV’s connective ethos, any creatives reading this, your tips and tricks of the industry are super welcome :)

I am an actor based in Lincolnshire. I have done a wide variety of roles over the years, and I enjoy doing physical comedy most of all.

I am very excited to be a Connected Creative as it gives me the opportunity to learn more about what is available in Lincolnshire, and to be able to meet like-minded individuals along the way.

I make electronic music with influences from house, acid and techno genres. I use Ableton Live for production and Rekordbox for making mixes and hope the connected creatives program will help me get more professional work and create shows.

My practice is Tableau Photography and narrative within the constructed image. I work with sets, props and models giving my art a cinematic look.

I find my work follows stories and is as much about the process as the final output. I've recently enjoyed working on a Stop Motion animation project with Glasshouse Day Centre.
